After completing a postgraduate diploma in photojournalism at the London College of Communication (formerly London College of Printing) in 2001, I have worked extensively from the African Continent. I currently work much of the year from Nairobi, Kenya although am permanently located in Cape Town, South Africa.

I am a Reuters stringer signed with Polaris (US) and AMO (Africa Media Online). I am also available for commissioning through the World Photography Collection.

I have undertaken a wide variety of commissioned assignments for NGO’s and international agencies including UNAIDS, UN-WHO, the Clinton Foundation and have worked extensively with many other charities and agencies including UN OCHA-Somalia and Save the Children.

I have been published in the New York Times, Independent (UK), Observer (UK), Grazia, Essence Magazine (US) amongst many others mostly published and commissioned through agencies.

I have received an Honourable Mention at the Prix de la Photographie Awards (2009) for photographs taken during the Kenyan Election Upheaval (2008) and Merit Awards (Bronze) at the International Aperture Awards (2010) in recognition of Excellence in Photojournalism for work undertaken during the FIFA World Cup 2010 and in conjunction with UN-OCHA Somalia.
